Transformation Complete
Heavenly Blends is the former church of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Our cafe and coffeehouse has transformed this once failing building into a place of beauty and gatherings of fellowships and human kindness.
The basement of the coffeehouse is not complete. This area is being returned to its natural state for historical purposes. Tours will be given of this Southern gem upon completion. The estimated unveiling will happen Summer of 2006. This date is long awaited by the community and the many annual visitors to Dr. King's birthplace.

The original Ebenezer Baptist Church was founded in 1886 by thirteen praying Christians. The first pastor Reverend John A. Parker was born into slavery. He served as pastor from 1886 to 1894. In 1914, due to growth in membership, the members left the original church building and built the church that Heavenly Blends now calls home.
Ebenezer Baptist has been home to many pastors, but the most famous was Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He served as associate pastor from 196
0 to 1968, the year of his death.
In 1999 the structure we now call home was almost inhabitable and the congregation built a new Ebenezer Baptist Church across the street. The new structure is call Horizon Sanctuary and the old structure is called Heritage Sanctuary. We are pleased to be a part of such a rich heritage.

Our company came into existence when the four owners, Uneeda Arnold, Diane Fry, Nanci Miller, and Michael Locke, met during their individual pursuits for higher education at Capella University. Each brought a unique background to the conceptualization of the Heavenly Blends dream. They continue to work together to increase market share.
